MEDICAL STUDENTS

For several years we have had medical students from the Hull & York Medical School attached to the practice. These are students in their 4th year of training and need experience of seeing patients in general practice.

The students will be in the practice on Tuesdays and Thursdays and will be supervised by Dr Calder or Dr Howson and occasionally by Dr Ashley. There will normally be 2 students in the morning and a different 2 in the afternoon.

The affected surgeries on these days will have longer appointments to allow for the teaching to take place and you will always be informed if an appointment offered to you is for one of these surgeries.

Although we hope you will assist these young doctors in their training you will be given the opportunity to change appointments if you do not wish to be seen by a medical student.
