OPENING HOURS

The Health Centre is open from 7:30am to 7:30 pm on Mondays and from 8.00 am to 6.00 pm Tuesday to Friday for telephone calls and personal callers as well as those patients having an appointment. It is not open on Saturday or Sunday or Bank Holidays. To provide time for staff training telephone calls are dealt with by an answering service every Friday from 12 noon to 1.30 pm. Please try to avoid ringing at this time.

 

IF YOU NEED HELP OR ADVICE WHEN THE SURGERY IS CLOSED

A doctor is available at all times. Outside of surgery opening hours (Monday 7:30am to 7:30pm and Tuesday to Friday 8.00am to 6.00pm) North Yorkshire & York Primary Care Trust are responsible for our patients’ care. The ambulance service deals with all telephone calls on their behalf and you will either be offered telephone advice, be able to be seen by a doctor at the Primary Care Centre in Monkgate or have a home visit, as appropriate. You should telephone the Out of Hours Service on 0845 056 8060.

York NHS Walk-in Centre is situated at 31 Monkgate Tel. (01904) 674557 and is open every day (including Bank Holidays) from 8.00 am until 6.00 pm. You don't need an appointment and will be seen by an experienced NHS nurse.

NHS Direct operates a 24-hour nurse advice and health information service, providing confidential information on:

·      What to do if you or your family are feeling ill

·      Particular health conditions

·      Local healthcare services, such as doctors, dentists or late night opening pharmacies

·      Self help and support organisations
