Julie Caskie RGN RM BSc

Senior Practice Nurse

Originally from Warrington, Julie qualified in 1982 at the Royal Liverpool Hospital.

She specialised in orthopaedics and qualified as a midwife then opted to broaden her horizons by working in Saudi Arabia and Dubai for several years.

Since her return to the UK in 2000 she has worked in York as a practice nurse and has completed her degree as well as qualifying in minor illness management and nurse prescribing.

Julie has a special interest in asthma, women’s health, travel and minor illness.

As senior nurse she is keen to develop the nursing team so that we can provide better services for patients.

In her spare time she enjoys salsa dancing, keeping fit, travel and hill walking.

She is also chair of the York and District Practice Nurse Group
